Time requirements: Full Time (40 hours per week)

Overview: Stumptown is looking for help in our production and Cold Brew departments. The ideal candidate will work very closely with the wholesale team and the office in a fast-paced environment to ensure that orders are being fulfilled in a timely manner while maintaining high quality standards. This is an hourly position based on skills and prior experience.

This applicant will create positive and lasting relationships with our accounts.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Be responsible for all aspects of customer orders and fulfillment.
  • Pack roasted coffee and deliver to wholesale customers and retail cafes.
  • Handle green coffee and help with general coffee production and flow on the floor.
  • Help Cold Brew and production coordinate daily orders, including emergencies and last minute needs.
  • Act as the face of Stumptown and deliver all resources which Stumptown offers to its customers.
  • Remain involved in ongoing trainings, focusing on palate development and retention of information to refine how we disseminate this info to the customer.
  • Follow systems and protocols for the daily operation of cold brew (live inventory, growler return tracking, etc).
  • Work closely with the roasting department on how Cold Brew batches are cut, assist with updating and maintaining the data for batch sheets, as well as setting and keeping the pace for the day.
  • Assist Cold Brew and production management in overseeing facility upkeep. Understand the ins and outs of regular equipment maintenance and overall cleanliness, and what the Stumptown expectations for cleanliness are.
  • Generally represent Stumptown in the field.

Experience sought:

Position: Customer Service Rep
Start Date: As soon as available
Time Requirements: Full Time (40 hours/week); Part Time (24-32 hours/week)

Overview:
In order to continue to deliver the highest level of service and support to our customers, Stumptown is seeking to fill the position of Customer Service Rep. This position will involve interfacing with all Stumptown customers (wholesale, retail, mail order, general).

In addition to working closely with the Production Floor and Roasting team to fulfill and expedite daily coffee orders, this individual will be expected to work closely with, organize and rely on all Stumptown departments to bring value to customers. This position requires flexible hours – the office runs six days/week.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Act as key wholesale interface at the Roastery.
  • Serve as the voice to every Stumptown customer (wholesale, retail, website, etc.) interacts with.
  • Manage wholesale call list, daily wholesale phone orders.
  • Fulfill and expedite daily orders, working closely with roastery and production floor.
  • Work in Quickbooks: manage wholesale and mail order and financial information.
  • Assist with wholesale account receivables (AR).
  • Help account managers address and prioritize wholesale acct needs and issues.
  • Update and maintain all wholesale account files and documentation.

Other responsibilities:

  • Assist with coffee integration for wholesale ordering, menus.
  • Stay on top of coffees and evangelize ‘the story’.
  • Maintain and utilize customer contact lists.
  • Help account management, sales and espresso departments improve quality through assistance with training, cupping, other on-going educational programs.
  • Educate wholesale and mail order customers, leveraging information from roasters and green coffee department.
  • Improve on and offer suggestions for new approaches to overall wholesale processes, systems and materials, including the call list / ordering system.
  • Help manage marketing and customer education information for ship-to and mail order customers.

Experience sought:

  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for coffee and desire to educate others.
  • Ability to deliver customer service the “Stumptown way”.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and problem solve – think on your feet.
  • Good with, and comfortable talking about, money.
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks, MS Office, other basic computer tools and financial fundamentals.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize daily and weekly tasks.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle.
