Summary

Support our commitment to exceptional customer service.  This full time position will work closely with the Wholesale team, Production and others in an ever-expanding retail market to ensure that our grocery accounts are receiving an exceptional level of customer service.  The ideal candidate will create positive and lasting relationships with our vendors, catering to the needs of store owners and managers at each store to fulfill specific requests. The position will require multi-tasking, confidence in dealing with a variety of personalities and helping different departments ensure that quality standards are being maintained at each store.

Essential Functions

  • Key point of contact for all delivery, ordering and fulfillment matters for grocery accounts
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with Customer Support, Production, Sales and management teams
  • Fulfill grocery coffee orders with precision, including direct merchandising, placing orders for accounts and managing pars
  • Help manage and perform demos among all grocery accounts across the channel of business, including whole bean (drip) and Cold Brew tastings with the public; work according to prioritized demo schedule and engage other team members accordingly to fulfill
  • Check in with accounts on non-scheduled delivery days; proactive resolution of issues
  • Establish systems and lay the groundwork for customer-service standards during our expansion in grocery markets
  • Communicate with customers in a positive and supportive manner on the road, day-to-day, and on behalf of Stumptown
  • Pack and triple check customer orders of roasted coffee
  • Deliver coffee to wholesale customers and retail cafes
  • Maintain and support vendor relationships across all grocery accounts
  • Other duties as assigned

Summary

Support delivery of the highest level of customer service and support to our customers by overseeing the daily interface with Stumptown wholesale customers throughout the West Coast.  Ensure information and product is received when the customer needs it.  Manage the team of Wholesale Customer Service representatives.

Essential Functions

Summary

This position will support Wholesale and Retail roasting needs by working closely with Roasting, Green Coffee, Customer Service and Production staff on a daily basis. This is a full-time position, working five days per week. Required workdays will fall on the weekend with consecutive days off.

Essential Functions

  • Support fulfillment of daily coffee orders (scooping batches)
  • Perform routine roaster cleaning and maintenance
  • Assist with green coffee; inventory and floor counts, receiving, organizing and moving product; weighing and portioning for recipes.
  • Serve as a link between Roasting, Customer Service and other departments.
  • General organization of the roaster; cleaning, stocking and other duties.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the techniques and approaches that define our roast philosophy; development of multiple varieties; roast profiles for every coffee and blend; time, temperature and carmelization for all coffees.
  • Develop a deep understanding of all of our coffees; attend daily cuppings and espresso evaluations for quality control; engage in all green and roasted coffee education and new training curriculum; relative tasting of coffee over various brewing methods.

Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with Stumptown leadership and management teams to further Stumptown’s support of its people in all Human Resources matters.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and grow organization by facilitating the hiring process for all departments and markets. This includes writing job descriptions and job postings, managing applicant communications and participating in interviews and salary negotiations.
  • Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs to support the culture.
  • Support and educate employees on all details of the Employee Handbook and answer employee questions as they relate to policy.
  • Ensure legal compliance by maintaining complete and accurate employee files, documentation and checklists. Keep internal and third party employee related databases current.
  • Handle all unemployment claims, Cobra transitions, and worker’s compensation claims.
