Job Title: Customer Support Associate, Distributor
Locations: Portland, OR
Reports to: Customer Support Manager

Summary

Deliver the highest level of customer service and support to Stumptown distributor and wholesale customers throughout the country.  Ensure information and product is received when and how the customer needs it.  This position interfaces with Stumptown Distributor, Wholesale, and Grocery partners.  The role works closely with Production and Logistics teams to fulfill large volume coffee and Cold Brew orders across the country.  Duties require flexible hours as the office is open seven days per week.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the voice of Stumptown to the customer, sharing brand and coffee knowledge
  • Manage customer orders, deliveries and pickups in order to exceed customer service expectations
  • Plan delivery of goods to key Distributor accounts
  • Ensure order entry is consistently accurate and meticulously managed
  • Coordinate movement of goods between storage facilities
  • Manage product lead times to ensure inventory availability
  • Coordinate with freight partners
  • Communicate with buyers to provide follow-up on issues or problems
  • Execute logistics strategy, ensuring efficient and cost effective movement of finished goods
  • Assist account managers by addressing and prioritizing Distributor account needs

Job Title: General Manager – Northwest Region
Locations: Oregon, Washington, BC, Northwest States
Reports to: VP Wholesale and Retail Operations

Stumptown is seeking a senior member of the management team to support the existing goals and achievements in our Northwest Region. This person will be directly responsible for expanding and developing Stumptown’s business model in the Pacific Northwest marketplace and extended territories. She or he will be accountable to oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, including:

  • Managing a full operational team
  • Driving wholesale sales
  • Supporting busy cafés
  • Being accountable for growth objectives and financial results

Essential Functions

  • Oversee all sales and sales activity in the NW Sales territories, serving as the most senior member of the Stumptown Wholesale and Sales team in the Region
  • Be responsible for exceeding annual sales revenue plan for Wholesale and Retail market sales
  • Continue to work with the Sales and Executive team to support Northwest business while expanding the broader market for Stumptown, building on the 15+ years of momentum to date
  • Develop, manage and train the sales team in the region
  • Lead and implement an annual market plans
  • Assist in managing the broader team at Stumptown Northwest by supporting all day-to-day operations pertaining to Stumptowns’ production efforts in Portland and Seattle to include roasting, retail, and call center.   • Serve as the point of contact for anything pertaining to Stumptown Northwest, including acting as resource for all Stumptown’s Managers and Assistant Managers across all departments

Qualifications

  • 5 years of sales and or restaurant team management experience
  • Management experience in wholesale and retail programs and channels

  • Demonstrated understanding of specialty food, coffee and grocery scene in the Northwest
  • Financial fundamentals, including basic books and record keeping

Summary

The Account Manager/Coffee Educator will work in wholesale account management and coffee education. He/she will provide unparalleled coffee education and hospitality through ongoing hands-on training and expert guidance. The Account Manager/Coffee Educator will also work closely with wholesale customers through direct training and education.

  • Establish and strengthen relationships with wholesale customers
  • Deliver unparalleled coffee education and hospitality to wholesale customers through direct training and training program implementation

Summary

Build and leverage wholesale operations in California.  Working as part of our California roasting operation and team, this position involves pursuing new wholesale business across a variety of channels.  Work closely with the Senior Sales Manager, our production, training and wholesale teams in LA and also fulfill sales goals by pursuing targeted opportunities in key metro areas within, but not always limited to, Los Angeles County.

Essential Functions

This position is responsible for managing and growing our wholesale business in Texas and surrounding markets. This individual will foster business development efforts to date, and further establish our distribution footprint in the SW market. In addition to working closely with the rest of the Stumptown sales and production team out of Los Angeles and Portland, the Sales Manager will be the lead in pursuing key opportunities across variety of channels and settings in this region. The following is meant to highlight (but are not limited to) some of the key responsibilities with the position:

  • Responsible for achieving annual sales revenue targets in the Southwest. Accountable for meeting and exceeding sales and distribution goals established as part of the annual budgeting process. Help in the implementation of an annual market plan. Organize, manage and report regularly on key initiatives around these goals – key opportunities, targets, geographies, etc
  • Proactively pursue new relationships and business across Stumptown’s channels. Maintain a comprehensive and working target list that ties to sales objectives across multiple channels. Report weekly, monthly and quarterly on traction.
  • Serve as the primary voice and face of Stumptown in this market – responsible for driving project management across core business:
    • Develop real, lasting relationships as part of Stumptown’s expanding presence in the business community in pursuit of new business
    • Serve as a primary point for on-boarding all new business in this geography
    • Schedule and conduct drip and espresso trainings with existing wholesale customers and new prospects
    • Serve as the source of inspiration to the Stumptown team around the exciting partnerships and events we are growing in the Southwest
    • Be accountable to the profitability of the SW market.  Account for ‘wins’ / losses on a monthly basis
    • Additionally, be responsible for the loaned and purchased equipment program (and therefore profitability) within the market. Report weekly to the General Manager on progress to date

Additional Functions

  • High-level understanding and demonstrated working knowledge of the coffee, restaurant, specialty food and beverage industry
  • Ability to hit the ground running and provide industry expertise and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Eager to leverage all Stumptown’s resources to expand our presence in the territory, including collaboration with other Sales team members and their initiatives, as well as utilizing our broader resources (executive team, HQ expertise) to obtain new business
