Summary

Coffee professional to work in wholesale account management and coffee education. Will provide unparalleled coffee education and hospitality through ongoing hands-on training and expert guidance.  Work closely with wholesale customers through direct training and education.
Essential Functions

  • Establish and strengthen relationships with wholesale customers
  • Deliver unparalleled coffee education and hospitality to wholesale customers through direct training and training program implementation
  • Assist with sales related meetings, community events and coffee tastings as needed
  • Develop solutions that improve coffee service quality in multiple settings
  • Maintain an efficient, effective, and prioritized work schedule through regular communication with the Stumptown wholesale team
  • Provide consistent and timely turnaround for training requests and customer needs
  • Cup and taste coffee regularly to maintain familiarity with product and quality standards
  • Stay informed of industry trends and new products related to coffee and espresso preparation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of coffee industry experience
  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for coffee
  • Positive attitude and an ability to work independently while still part of a team
  • Thorough knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, and buying practices
  • Excellent barista skills, including both coffee preparation and customer service
  • Confident public speaker
  • Professional and effective communicator
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Flexibility in scheduling; holiday and weekends are sometimes required
  • Willingness to travel and maximize the value of trips
  • Highly motivated
  • Confidence and fluency with computer and mobile devices

  • Maintain constant communication with the VP of Sales

Summary

Support our commitment to exceptional customer service.  This full time position will work closely with the Wholesale team, Production and others in an ever-expanding retail market to ensure that our grocery accounts are receiving an exceptional level of customer service.  The ideal candidate will create positive and lasting relationships with our vendors, catering to the needs of store owners and managers at each store to fulfill specific requests. The position will require multi-tasking, confidence in dealing with a variety of personalities and helping different departments ensure that quality standards are being maintained at each store.

Essential Functions

  • Key point of contact for all delivery, ordering and fulfillment matters for grocery accounts
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with Customer Support, Production, Sales and management teams
  • Fulfill grocery coffee orders with precision, including direct merchandising, placing orders for accounts and managing pars
  • Help manage and perform demos among all grocery accounts across the channel of business, including whole bean (drip) and Cold Brew tastings with the public; work according to prioritized demo schedule and engage other team members accordingly to fulfill
  • Check in with accounts on non-scheduled delivery days; proactive resolution of issues
  • Establish systems and lay the groundwork for customer-service standards during our expansion in grocery markets
  • Communicate with customers in a positive and supportive manner on the road, day-to-day, and on behalf of Stumptown
  • Pack and triple check customer orders of roasted coffee
  • Deliver coffee to wholesale customers and retail cafes
  • Maintain and support vendor relationships across all grocery accounts
