Summary

Support IT for all locations in Oregon, Washington, California and New York, with primary emphasis on supporting the New York sites.  Work with a secure WAN through a mix of Provider Managed MPLS and Cisco terminated site to site VPN connections.  Support a server environment that is primarily Windows Server technology with desktops a mix of PC and Mac, as well as mobile devices such as iPhone and iPad.  Provide support to employees via Help Desk, which concentrates on the overall integrity of the network, server/application deployment, security and ensuring network connectivity throughout the company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Essential Functions

  • Maintenance and administration of servers, desktop and laptop computers, printers, routers, access points, switches, firewalls, phones, tablets and smartphones; some Point of Sale equipment
  • Software deployment and policy development and implementation
  • Server uptime, automated notifications of reliability issues, troubleshooting, maintaining and monitoring
  • Authoring and updating end-user and internal documentation, scheduling and hosting training sessions for Stumptown staff and regular follow up with areas/department on their needs

Supervisory responsibilities

  • No direct reports

Qualifications

  • Verifiable experience, education, or certifications sufficient to demonstrate required proficiency at job tasks
  • General knowledge of Microsoft server products
  • Some familiarity with Cisco routers and switches
  • Knowledge of network security threats and available technology to combat them
  • Basic knowledge of telephone and telecommunications systems both wired and wireless
  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for coffee
  • Exposure to virtualization, specifically VMware and vSphere preferred
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA or other ticketing platforms desirable
  • Prefer solid understanding of disaster recovery best practices and business continuity
  • Basic knowledge of multi-point video conferencing desired

Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with Stumptown leadership and management teams to further Stumptown’s support of its people in all Human Resources matters.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and grow organization by facilitating the hiring process for all departments and markets. This includes writing job descriptions and job postings, managing applicant communications and participating in interviews and salary negotiations.
  • Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs to support the culture.
  • Support and educate employees on all details of the Employee Handbook and answer employee questions as they relate to policy.
  • Ensure legal compliance by maintaining complete and accurate employee files, documentation and checklists. Keep internal and third party employee related databases current.
  • Handle all unemployment claims, Cobra transitions, and worker’s compensation claims.
  • Maintain a company-wide, compliant job description catalog.
  • Support and provide input to Stumptown management in support of the Annual Performance/Pay review process.
  • Provide inputs to the annual budget and headcount analysis. Ability to research and explain monthly variances as needed.
  • Leverage existing payroll operations and engage benefits support team.
  • Enhance existing benefits program with better communication to staff and new hires, ensuring their understanding of the benefits provided to them.
  • Research and propose benefit enhancements that comply with current budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of Human Resource Experience or at least 7 years in the HR field.
  • PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
  • High degree of confidentiality.
  • Benefits administration experience in a growing company strongly desired.
  • Performance management experience in a growing, dynamic company strongly desired.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Summary

Customer Service & Billing Associate for our NYC/East Coast Wholesale Team. This position involves daily interactions with our wholesale partners to support ordering and billing needs, fielding initial sales calls and general inquiries from the public, and connecting our partners to the latest and greatest happenings in the coffee industry. The ideal candidate will collaborate and lend support across departments in New York, Portland, Los Angeles, and Seattle, adding value as we grow.

Essential Functions

  • Generate sales order for wholesale customers
  • Navigate cloud-based ERP system to process orders through fulfillment
  • Co-manage inventory system with Production, Roasting, and Cold Brew
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Training, and Service departments to address the needs of our wholesale customers
  • Work closely with Accounts Receivable, maintaining accounting policies and procedures in NY office
  • Field calls and emails from wholesale customers and the public, while exhibiting a high level of customer service
  • Effectively articulate and communicate a wide array of coffee information to customers
  • Assist Account Managers, Sales, Retail, and Training departments in improving customer relationships through training, cuppings, and other ongoing educational programs

Summary

Build and leverage wholesale operations in California.  Working as part of our California roasting operation and team, this position involves pursuing new wholesale business across a variety of channels.  Work closely with the Sales Team and also fulfill sales goals by pursuing targeted opportunities in select geographic areas (including but not limited to Orange County, San Diego and key metro areas outside of Los Angeles).

Essential Functions:

  • Service existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedule, investigating complaints, conducting tests, scheduling and performing preventative maintenance, and resolving problems.
  • Service new accounts by performing preinstall site scopes, gathering components and parts, and completing installations.
  • Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.
  • Maintain rapport and communication with all departments within Stumptown by keeping them informed of all service issues related to their particular department job functions (sales, retail, etc…).
  • Determine whether issues are entirely technical issues vs. training or technique and relay all non-technical problems to the proper department for correction if necessary.
  • Keep personal equipment, vans, etc. operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications.
