Michael Robert Rutledge
“I’m not a person who travels much. Not often at least. When I’m away, the further I get the more I begin to feel like I could forget myself entirely. Forget the life I’d come from. Forget the millions of decisions and occurrences that define that life. Not to start fresh, but instead to remain in that place forever. It’s not an uncommon feeling, wanting a vacation to never end. To experience the world as a sensation of light, sound and color, flavor and texture. To forget a name.
This work is a collection of my vacation photographs.”
