At the age of eleven, Portland, Oregon-based Olivia Bolles picked up her first serious camera. She’s been going non stop ever since. Today – at the ripe age of 16 – Bolles is inspired by the relationships between people and their surroundings, the sentimentality of objects and places that hold memories, and the unexplainable workings of our subconscious. Capturing everyday life with the eyes of a youth, her work celebrates the aesthetic beauty of adolescence and has been featured in Seventeen, Frankie, and American Photo. This is her second show at our Downtown cafe. We hope you will join us on First Thursday.
