Paul Kottke’s newest collection of paintings, (un) Self, playfully toys with the notion of objectivity by incorporating photo-realistic techniques that attempt to show things as they really are while depicting people larger than life.
Paul Kottke is currently a candidate for a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a concentration in painting, at the Oregon College of Art and Craft. His interests include issues involving portraiture, depiction, and the pluralities of perception. This will be his fourth solo show in Portland, Oregon.
