Roman Candle Baking Company on Division, now open.

The French perhaps said it best, Quand il n’y pas de pain, c’est l’émeute! (When there’s no bread, you get a riot.)

Roman Candle Baking Company, the newest of our fearless founder Duane Sorenson’s impeccable restaurant empire, opened on Division yesterday at the site of our former roastery and training lab. For now they are open for breakfast and lunch (in addition to providing all of our PDX cafes with drool-inducing pastries and breads), and will soon be slinging Roman-style pizza bianca pies. Mamma mia.
