We have a lot in common with the Portland Timbers beyond our woodland namesake.
Our history is one steeped in tradition, independence and community and the same can be said for the Timbers and their loyal Army of supporters.
In 1975, the Portland Timbers played their inaugural season and Soccer City USA was born, forever changing the face of the beautiful game stateside. In honor of that fateful year, and our proud arboreal heritage here in Rose City, we’ve teamed up with the Timbers and created a special coffee we’ve dubbed the 1975 Blend, chosen to commemorate the Timbers first season played in the North American Soccer League. We’ve also designed a mug emblazoned with a phrase taken from a Timbers Army battle chant.
We are the exclusive coffee sponsor of the Portland Timbers – you can get our Cold Brew Stubbies and Milk Cartons, as well as the 1975 blend brewed hot for the games, at Stadium concessions.
We’re also stoked to present this commemorative blend and mug for sale at the Stadium, online, and in our cafes along with the mugs beginning on Game Day, Sunday, May 11. We’ll also be brewing it up proudly on Sunday along with our fellow Army-supporting cafes:
Fresh Pot (all 3 locations)
Albina Press (both locations)
Floyd’s (all locations)Rose City Futsal
The 1975 Blend is made up of coffees from Latin America and Africa, imparting notes of dark chocolate, stone fruit and marzipan.
