Vanessa Kauffman:
Art at Division February 2011

[portfolio_slideshow nav=bottom exclude="3528"]

These prints are markers of time, an archive of emotional landscapes. I am interested in creating images that at once pinpoint and obscure memory. These prints are called Diary because their creation is continuous and uses the singular magic of monotype as the record of an event. These images resonate with my thoughts on small births and deaths, internal fires, failures and curiosities.

Vanessa Kauffman is an artist in Portland, Oregon and is acutely interested in the visual organization of information. She has a BFA in Printmaking from Pacific Northwest College of Art.

Join us 4-6pm on Friday, February 4th for the opening reception.
