Colombia Source Trip: A Short Film
The latest Stumptown source trip film features a select group of Colombian coffee producers from the southern departments of Huila and Cauca. Over the past five years Stumptown has built strong connections to these producers, making multiple trips each year to far reaches of the Andes Mountains to meet with regional producer associations, visit the farms, and work with producers to improve their coffee. In June 2011 a two-person film crew travelled with the green coffee buying team to visit these remarkable individuals, who graciously welcomed the camera into their homes and lives. This film focuses on the intense relationship between these growers, their communities, and their coffee.

Many thanks to Walter Penna, Giovanny Lizcano, Jorge Enrique Medina, and Emma Chantre in Pedregal de Inza de Cauca, Roderigo Romero and Antonio Zuniga in San Agustin de Huila, Isaias Cantillo Osa in Sauza de Huila and to everyone that took part in the making of this film; exporting partners at Virmax, the coffee producers, their families and communities, without which none of this would be possible.
